Introduction to Tratak meditation

This article is an introduction to Tratak meditation. Tratak meditation is a traditional exercise that helps to attain concentration and control of your mental waves. Also known as fixed gazing, Tratak is a prehistoric yoga technique that makes your mind concentrate and awakens the divine energy through opening the psychic centers. In Tratak, you stare progressively at a single object or point without letting your eyes blink. Your mind follows your eyes and you lead your mind through your eyes in one-pointed meditation. When you stare at something steadily and then visualize that object alternately by closing your eyes, you educate your mind to focus.

Tratak is a fantastic exercise to control your mind. To perform Tratak medication, you can use any object you deem fit as long as it is still and small enough for you to stare. The most recommended object by many yogis is the candle as it is relatively easier to stir up its image when you close your eyes. As the image starts to fade, open your eyes and start staring again without blinking. You can start off with 5 minutes and then gradually increase the time up to an hour.

You can also perform Tratak by gazing the mirror. It is a powerful method that helps in encountering your unconsciousness. Other types include the antar Tratak where you direct your attention within yourself like closing your eyes and trying to keep your concentration on the spaces between your eyebrows which is also known as the spiritual equivalent of the center of the heart.

Finally in this introduction to Tratak meditation, I would like to emphasize the fact that it is important that you begin with shorter time periods and then increase gradually. Tratak meditation is a very good exercise with amazing benefits. So go for it.

Physical Benefits of Yoga Meditation

If you want to enjoy quite a few physical benefits of yoga meditation, I suggest that you try out dynamic meditation very early in the morning. Dynamic meditation is meant to be an individual practice, and one in which you cannot be distracted by others. Doing this early in the morning helps to avoid contact with other people and distractions. It’s also best to do this in the morning because it is strongly advised that you do this meditation with an empty stomach, wearing very comfortable, loose clothing. A blindfold is also recommended, as your eyes should be shut through the duration of your meditation. It is a meditation which requires you to be constantly alerted, aware, and fully conscious. You cannot get caught up in other things, and must observe everything as if you’re simply a spectator. This will greatly help your yoga meditation and increase your yoga benefits.

There are four steps in performing the most effective and, in my opinion, most correct version of the dynamic yoga meditation technique . Phase one includes you standing still with your eyes shut completely. Take a deep breath. Now breathe quickly using your nostrils rather than your mouth for 10 minutes. Allow your body to move naturally, or even move around in a way that will help you to suck in lots of oxygen into your lungs.
For the next 10 minutes in stage 2, you should focus on cleansing. During this stage, you must be spontaneous and allow yourself to go wild. Feel free to roll around, dance, or even yell! In fact, screaming is actually encouraged. But make sure that you only act out safe anger (punching a pillow or something alone those lines). This allows you to get rid of the built up, suppressed feelings.

The next 10 minutes (step 3), you should jump up and down hoo-hooing the whole time. (Yell ‘hoo hoo hoo’). This should be done continually for the 10 minute period of time. While this may seem very silly, the vibrations go down into your body and drive energy outward! It is a must that you keep your arms in their natural, loose position. If you do not, it could have medical repercussions.

The fourth and final 10 minute section is dedicated to utter silence and complete relaxation. You must lie on your back comfortably and just let go of yourself. Mimic a dead person, if you must. (Shavasana pose). This is the phase when you become the spectator. With this, you will definintely see yoga benefits.

Iyengar Yoga to Improve Mental Health

Iyengar yoga to improve mental health is a wonderful idea. Iyengar Yoga, which consists of many elements, can help you with your depression or general downward feelings in as little as five weeks. It contains special yoga poses for depression. We all know that yoga can leave a person feeling good, but someone who is suffering from depression can benefit even more greatly by using yoga poses for depression. They are specific poses that are supposed to lift ones mind, mood, and soul. It doesn’t require any fancy work – just a few poses and stretches could do the trick.

Iyengar yoga heavily focuses on poses that boost one’s mood. These poses were exceptionally helpful when it came to boosting moods in a recent study. Not only did most people see positive results before the five weeks was up, but most people fell a little better after every class. You couldn’t ask for more instantaneous results!

If you take the time to find a gym (or, at your own risk), a dvd or instructional guide on how to perform these yoga poses, you might not even have to leave your desk. Most poses are done with ease and don’t need a large area.

However, if yoga simply doesn’t belong in your new sunny outlook on life, you can try some other forms of mood-improving, self-aware antics. Things such as going for a thirty minute walk either by yourself or with a friend, eating more nuts, fish, and flaxseeds, and sleeping a full eight hours.

Most importantly, however, whether you choose to do yoga or something else to improve your mood, you must remember to love yourself first and foremost. Love yourself and then let others love you for who you really are. A darker version of the same saying is that if you can’t love yourself, no one else can, either. And it’s a very true statement – both are.

You owe it to yourself and those that care about you to be happy and healthy. Nothing can help you improve your overall well being like yoga, but some things sure come close!

Yoga Asanas for Fertility

Hatha Yoga, when practiced regularly, can help you be healthy and stay fit simply by expanding and preserving your mental and physical functions. It can slow down aging and keep you active and strong, regardless of age. Take into careful consideration that the poses I will be suggesting should be part of your daily Yoga regime, but they can also go really wrong if you do not do them correctly.

The Bumble Bee Pranayama, goes also by the name of the Snoring Pranayama and Bhramari, uses the vibrations and sound of the humming bee in order to induce a deep relaxation to your mind – quite similar to the deep realm of sleep.
