Yoga Poses to Improve Digestion
If you’re frequently ailed by problems such as acid reflux, occasional heart burn, gas, constipation, or even stomach aches, yoga may just be the perfect fix for you! While there are a variety of reasons as to why these sorts of inconveniences plague us, they can all be relieved with yoga. (Always talk to your doctor first)!
Why and how can yoga help? There are many, many poses that you’ll find in yoga that stimulate and motivate organs such as the pancreas, intestines, and stomach. Due to this, these organs become incredibly strong and healthy. Here are some of the great benefits of doing yoga; It can add to the circulation of the gastrointestinal function, help you to increase the absorption of sustenance, reduce the level of acid in your stomach, helps to make a larger amount of mucous, help to decrease the pressures of gas, and can completely remove any constipation problems.
Of course, there are some things to keep in mind. Firstly, you will be focusing on specific yoga poses and pranayama techniques that cater to the digestion tract. This shouldn’t be very difficult, though. It does take some commitment on your part, though.
To feel the full effects of yoga, you must be willing to do a few things. This includes:
Complete your yoga routine every morning (early) on an empty stomach. (You can have a glass of warm water before you begin, but that is all). You should always begin with pranayama before proceeding on to the asanas. Never rush your yoga techniques, your routine should last at the very least thirty minutes. Always keep up a positive frame of mind. Believe that the yoga can and will heal your body.
Never do any of these poses or techniques if you are still recovering from a surgery or suffering from hernias, appendicitis, abdominal problems, or peritonitis. You must always consult your doctor before starting yoga. Relax your body for about fifteen minutes when you’re done with your workout. It’s recommended that you do the Savasana pose. If you feel like taking a shower, you should really wait at least thirty minutes after your workout to do so. It’s also best if you only have fruit during breakfast. This will only help to cleanse your body further.
Here are the poses I recommend to help with your digestive tract. They were a big help to me, and have been proven to help many world-wide. Pranayama is a very basic variety of breathing techniques that have wondrous benefits. There are four that you should research and practice, Kapalabhati pranayama, nadi-sodhana, bhastrika, and agnisar kriya.
Next, you’ll want to research and carry out the yoga asanas I’ll list out for you, as they will help you tone up your body’s digestive and excretory systems. The Locust Pose, Shoulder Stand, Frog Pose, Abdominal Lock, Bow Pose, Cobra Pose, Complete Relaxation Posture, and Seated Forward Bend will definitely help your systems function in a much healthier way.
